EUROPOWER WARRANTY CONDITIONS
  1. Warranty period:
    1. General warranty period: 1 year warranty for all EUROPOWER gensets on assembly or manufacturing faults, from the date of delivery / invoice to the final customer, except for the engine warranty specified in 1B. The generators are supposed to be used "in a normal way". Their maintenance has to be carried out according to the provided service manual. In case of "exceptional" use, the user has to inform the manufacturer beforehand and consequently the warranty period will be adapted to the given circumstances.
    2. Specific engine warranty:
      - Honda GX engines and B&S Vanguard engines: 3 years with a maximum of 500h (valid for engines of generators sold to users within the EC, Iceland, Croatia, Norway, Russia, Ukraine and Switzerland), the Honda GXH50 engine of the EPSi1000: 1 year with a maximum of 500h.
      - Yamaha engines: 1 year with a maximum of 500h.
      - Yanmar, Kubota and Hatz air-cooled diesel engines 3000 rpm: 2 years with a maximum of 500h (valid for engines of generators sold to users within the EC).
      - Kubota water-cooled diesel engines 3000 rpm + 1500 rpm and Hatz air-cooled diesel engines 1500 rpm: 2 years with a maximum of 2000h.
      - Volvo water-cooled diesel engines 1500 rpm: 1 year with unlimited running hours or 2 years with a maximum of 3000h.
      - Iveco water-cooled diesel engines 1500 rpm: 1 year with unlimited running hours.
  2. Ordinary wear, defects caused by improper maintenance, user's mistakes, abuse and misuse are not covered by the warranty.
  3. The warranty is only valid when the maintenance is carried out regularly by a EUROPOWER distributor or EUROPOWER itself. Compensation resulting from waste of time, commercial losses, subsequential damage or costs for the renting of a replacement genset are never covered by the warranty.
  4. In case of a repair covered by the warranty, the distributor is requested to contact EUROPOWER before the repair is carried out.
    • The dealer completely fills out the EUROPOWER warranty claim document and sends it to EUROPOWER.
    • The dealer provides EUROPOWER with detailed digital photos, on which the failure is clearly visible.
    • In consultation we decide whether EUROPOWER or the distributor has to take action. If necessary also the engine or alternator manufacturer can be involved.
    • In consultation we decide whether EUROPOWER or the distributor supplies the spare parts necessary for the repair.
    • In consultation we decide who will cover the costs for spare parts and repair.
  5. Relocation and forwarding costs: If the distributor cannot solve the warranty problem himself, then the picking up costs (from distributor to EUROPOWER) and the returning costs (to distributor) are covered by the warranty - provided that EUROPOWER gives its prior approval. EUROPOWER is responsible for the recollection and returning of the goods. Additional relocation and forwarding costs of distributor or end user are not covered by the warranty.
  6. Generators which are returned for repair must be complete (serial number, engine number, and if necessary alternator number should be legible) and they have to be in a perfect condition. Loose components or generators which have already been disassembled are not covered by the warranty.
  7. Alterations to the generator can cause the warranty to expire.
